This concludes a daily writing project in conjunction with photographer Sarah Tesar. For every day of May 2017 I wrote a short piece inspired by Sarah’s daily photos as posted on her Instagram feed.

Don’t you like to keep secrets? Really we all do. Big ones, little ones. Sometimes the best ones are utterly innocent. Those ones can be fun.
Sometimes the secret is ourselves. We hide within ourselves, behind ourselves. We tuck our true natures away, safe beneath the surface that looks so much similar.
But of course we mean well. It’s just a little secret. Innocent and concealed. Just a little something for ourselves. A bit of a fun thrill in knowing that it’s ours. All ours.
Just don’t tell anyone; not yet.
